Lil Miquela's real name is Miquela Sousa. She's a half-Spanish, half-Brazilian computer-generated model who only recently became self-aware. As Miquela's story goes, she once thought she was just a normal girl from L.A., until, plot twist, it turns out she's a robot.

Trevor McFedries & Sara Decou are the co-founders of Brud and the creators of the first computer-generated social media influencer, Lil Miquela, in 2016. She has since amassed a large social media following and has donned brands including Chanel, Burberry and Fendi.

Virtual influencers are created using AI and CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) technology. They are designed to appear and behave like real human influencers, but they are entirely computer-generated.

Miquela Sousa, or Lil Miquela Online, is the most followed and well known AI influencer. She was created in 2016 by Brud, a media and technology company.
